Built to give more of an edge in the surf. The length helps to pick up speed punching out through the surf, more volume in the stern lends forgivness and a low center of gravity makes the Kona stable. The Kona also has a "V" shaped hull that promotes tracking in flat water. A good boat for having fun out in the ocean or inland waves.
